Aquaforest Pro Bio S is a highly concentrated formula of specially selected probiotic bacterial strains engineered to accelerate the decomposition of organic matter, decompose toxic waste, and lower nitrate and phosphate levels in heavily stocked reef aquariums.

Key Features & Benefits

Accelerated Organic Waste Breakdown: Rapidly processes fish waste, uneaten food, and organic detritus, releasing bound macro- and micronutrients back into the water column.
Targeted $NO_3$ & $PO_4$ Reduction: Initiates the biological cycle that converts nitrates and phosphates into bacterial biomass, which is then permanently exported by your protein skimmer.
Pathogen Suppression: Outcompetes harmful bacteria and pathogenic microflora, creating a healthier biological environment that reduces fish stress and disease risk.
Live Bacterioplankton Source: Excess probiotic bacteria serve as a natural, highly nutritious food source (bacterioplankton) for corals and filter-feeding invertebrates.
Ideal for High-Bioload Systems: Formulated specifically for demanding, heavily stocked, and large reef displays that generate high organic waste.

How to Use & Dosage

Standard Dosage: Add 1 drop per 100 Liters (27 US gal) of aquarium water daily.
Application: Shake well before use. Dose directly into a high-flow area of the sump or display tank.
Probiotic System Integration: For maximum efficiency, use alongside Aquaforest -NP Pro as a liquid carbon nutrient source for the bacteria.
Storage & Handling: Refrigerate after opening if room temperature exceeds $24°C$ ( $75°F$ ). A natural precipitate may form on the bottom; this is normal and does not impact quality. Do not overtighten the cap to prevent thread damage.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the cloudy sediment or precipitate at the bottom of the bottle?

A: This is a completely natural biological precipitate. It does not affect the performance or purity of the product. Simply shake the bottle well before each use to distribute the bacteria evenly.

Q: Why do I need to run a protein skimmer while using Pro Bio S?

A: Pro Bio S converts dissolved nitrates and phosphates into physical bacterial cells. A protein skimmer physically removes these nutrient-laden bacterial cells from the water column, completing the nutrient export process.

Q: What is the difference between Pro Bio S and -NP Pro?

A: Pro Bio S provides the live bacteria, while -NP Pro provides the liquid carbon food that fuels those bacteria. Using them together creates a complete probiotic system for rapid nutrient reduction.

Recommended Complementary Products
