The Red Sea ReefRun G2 DC Pump series represents the next generation of aquarium return and closed-loop pumps, ranging from a versatile 4,000 LPH up to a massive 12,000 LPH. Engineered for demanding marine reef systems, these pumps combine cutting-edge Sine Wave DC motor technology with smart connectivity via the Red Sea ReefBeat ecosystem. Whether integrated into a high-tech smart reef or operated as a high-performance standalone unit, the ReefRun G2 delivers exceptional energy efficiency, customizable flow patterns, and intelligent safety guardrails for total peace of mind.

Advanced Sine Wave Technology & Smart Integration

The ReefRun G2 series balances raw kinetic power with near-silent, intelligent operation to optimize your sump or closed-loop installation.

Virtually Silent Operation: Utilizes advanced Sine Wave DC motor technology to eliminate mechanical hum, ensuring near-silent performance even when running at 100% capacity.
ReefBeat App Ecosystem: Unlocks automated daily schedules, adjustable flow intensities, and a dedicated pulse mode perfect for wave-making or closed-loop plumbing setups.
Intelligent Safety Notifications: Automatically monitors pump performance and sends real-time push alerts to your smartphone if the pump is running dry or if the impeller becomes blocked.
Dual Control Flexibility: Includes a physical flow controller for manual ON/OFF operation and intensity adjustments without an internet connection. Can be paired with the ReefRun Dual Controller for full smart app integration.
High Energy Efficiency: Engineered to pull minimal wattage relative to its immense flow output, drastically reducing heat transfer to your aquarium water and lowering energy costs.

FAQ Section: Common Questions

Can I run the ReefRun G2 pump completely independently? Yes. The included manual flow controller allows you to turn the pump on or off and adjust the flow intensity directly at the sump, requiring no internet connection or app integration.
What do I need to connect the pump to the ReefBeat App? To unlock smart scheduling, pulse modes, and dry-run notifications, you will need to connect the pump via the Red Sea ReefRun Dual Controller (sold separately), which can operate both a ReefRun pump and a REEFER DC Skimmer simultaneously.
How does the dry-run protection work? The pump constantly monitors its internal power draw and rotational resistance. If the water level drops too low and air enters the intake, or if a foreign object jams the impeller, the pump immediately shuts down to prevent motor burnout and alerts you via the app.
Is this pump suitable for external (dry) applications? The ReefRun G2 is primarily engineered as a submersible sump pump. Running it submersed allows the surrounding water to assist in keeping the high-efficiency motor cool during operation.
