How do I prepare the solutions? Dissolve the following amounts separately into 5 Liters of RO/DI water:
Component A: 380 g
Component B: 420 g
Component C: 125 g
How much should I dose? Dose equal amounts of all three solutions daily into a high-flow area of the aquarium. Start with 30 ml per 100 L (26 US gal) and adjust based on your alkalinity and calcium test results.
Why do I need Component C? When you dose A and B, they react to form Calcium Carbonate (used by corals) and Sodium Chloride (table salt). Over time, this increases salinity and unbalances the water. Component C adds back the missing minerals (magnesium, potassium, trace elements) to keep the water ionically "whole."
Is it better than a Calcium Reactor? The Balling Method offers more precision than a reactor. It allows you to make micro-adjustments to individual parameters without affecting others, making it ideal for systems with high coral density.
