It utilizes a dual optical sensor setup: one to control the refill lift pump and another as a safety feature to prevent overflows. The WaveReef FATO-200 & FATO-303M ATO systems are smartly designed, with no moving parts to fail, ensuring reliable operation in both freshwater and marine aquariums.

Installation is straightforward. Simply place the magnetic optical sensor at the desired water level within your sump or aquarium, and the system takes care of the rest.

FATO-200 & FATO-303M Operation
- When the water level drops below the optical sensor (2), it activates the pump, indicated by a blinking blue light, and the water level rises to the normal state.
- Once the normal level is reached, the blue light remains solid.
- A safety level sensor (1) shuts down the pump if a malfunction occurs, with a red light flashing to indicate an issue.
