Seachem pH Alert® | Continuous Freshwater pH Monitor

Seachem pH Alert® – Continuous pH Monitoring for Freshwater

Seachem pH Alert® is a unique color device designed for the continuous monitoring of pH in freshwater aquariums. Unlike traditional test kits that require active testing, this sensor stays in the water and changes color to alert you to shifting pH levels in real-time. It is specifically tuned for freshwater systems, providing a reliable visual indicator for $pH$ ranges between 5.4 and 8.0, helping you maintain the stable environment your fish need to thrive.

Real-Time Precision & Long-Term Stability

pH Alert® offers a maintenance-free way to keep a constant eye on your aquarium’s acidity and alkalinity.

  • Continuous 24/7 Monitoring: Provides an instant visual update on your $pH$ status without the need for chemicals, test tubes, or wait times.

  • Long-Lasting Performance: The specialized sensor membrane is designed to remain active and accurate for up to 4 months, offering excellent value for long-term monitoring.

  • Easy-to-Read Color Scale: Features a clear, color-coded scale ranging from Yellow (Acidic) to Blue/Purple (Alkaline), allowing you to identify shifts at a glance.

  • Compact & Low-Profile: Small and discreet enough to be placed on the glass in any corner of the tank where it won't distract from your aquascape.

  • Freshwater Specialized: Specifically engineered for freshwater chemistry; it is not recommended for use in saltwater environments.

FAQ Section: Common Questions

  • How quickly does the pH Alert® respond to changes?

The sensor typically responds to a rise or fall in pH within 30 minutes. Note that when first placed in the tank, it may take up to 30 minutes to stabilize and show an accurate reading.

  • Can I use this in a saltwater or reef tank?

No. pH Alert® is designed strictly for freshwater. For marine environments, the chemistry differs significantly, and the sensor will not provide an accurate reading.

  • Does it require calibration?

No calibration is needed. Simply remove the protective film and place it in the aquarium. For best results, ensure the sensor is placed in an area of moderate water flow.
