Can I use KanaPlex™ in a reef tank? No, do not dose directly into the water of a reef tank, as invertebrates are extremely sensitive to this medication. Instead, use the medicated food method to deliver the treatment directly to the fish while keeping the water column safe for corals and shrimp.
How do I make a medicated food mix? Mix 1 scoop of KanaPlex™ with 1 scoop of Seachem Focus™ and 1 tablespoon of food (frozen or pellet). Add a few drops of water if using dry food. Feed this mix daily for up to 1 week or until the infection clears.
Can I combine KanaPlex™ with other medications? While KanaPlex™ is chemically compatible with many products, it is generally recommended not to use multiple antibiotics simultaneously to avoid overstressing the fish.
