Aqua Clean PO4 – 3D Filter Media

For Marine, Freshwater, and Pond Aquariums

Aqua Clean PO4 – 3D Filter Media is a high-performance, ultra-high surface area ceramic media designed to support beneficial bacterial colonization while efficiently removing phosphate, ammonia, and nitrite from aquariums and ponds. With its innovative three-dimensional open and interconnected pore structure, this media creates the ideal environment for biofilm development and long-term water quality maintenance.

Key Benefits

  • Dual Action Filtration – Removes phosphate through both microbial denitrification and nano-catalytic material technology.

  • Optimized Nitrogen Cycle – Supports high concentrations of nitrifying bacteria to quickly reduce ammonia and nitrite peaks while controlling nitrate accumulation.

  • PH Neutral & Safe – Maintains stable PH and GH levels for marine, freshwater, and pond environments.

  • Vast Surface Area – BET-tested at 1850m²/litre, offering maximum space for beneficial bacterial colonization.

  • Versatile Application – Works in sumps, canister filters, hang-on-back filters, trickle, waterfall, or DIY filtration systems.

  • Easy Maintenance – Partial media washing is simple; never clean all media at once to protect bacterial colonies.

Directions for Use

  1. Rinse new media with tap water, then tank water to remove impurities and chlorine.

  2. Place media in the filtration system of choice.

  3. Add nitrifying bacteria if desired for faster cycling.

  4. Use 1L per 200–500L (50–125 US gallons) of water; scale up as needed.

  5. Periodically wash part of the media every 6 months or as required.

Why Choose Aqua Clean PO4 – 3D Filter Media?

This media not only supports healthy, crystal-clear water, but also enhances aquarium stability by providing a home for billions of beneficial bacteria while removing excess phosphates. Ideal for reef tanks, marine aquariums, freshwater systems, and ornamental ponds.
