The Salifert Potassium Reef Test Kit provides a quick, accurate, and reliable method for measuring potassium levels in your reef aquarium.

In naturally occurring saltwater, potassium levels usually equal around 400 ppm. Coral starts to become potassium deficient, potentially losing coloration, around 350 ppm and lower. Potassium Reef Test Kit lets you know when it's time to replenish potassium levels before a color loss occurs in your beautiful coral. 

Potassium is an essential element in both the skeletal construction and coloration of certain corals.  Testing should be done to maintain Potassium (K) in an optimal range of 380 - 420 ppm.
