Can I use this for Tanganyika Cichlids?
While it will raise the pH, Lake Tanganyika has a naturally higher pH (9.0–9.4). For those species, we recommend using Seachem Tanganyika Buffer specifically.
Does this replace the need for salt?
No. This product manages pH and KH (Alkalinity). You should use Seachem Cichlid Lake Salt to manage the GH (General Hardness) and mineral content.
