The twin optical sensors reduce the frequency of the pump's on/off cycles, increasing the overall reliability and lifespan of the system. Both the NATO-3M and SMT 03M ATO systems come with everything needed for installation and operation right out of the box. The easy-to-install magnetic optical sensor can be placed at the desired water level, and the system will automatically handle the rest.

How It Works:

1. When water drops below the Low-Level Sensor (Sensor 3), the system activates the pump to replenish water.
2. As the water rises to the Normal-Level Sensor (Sensor 2), the pump turns off, and the system displays a solid blue light.
3. If the water level goes beyond the safe point, the Safety Sensor (Sensor 1) will shut off the pump, and a red light will flash to indicate an error.

Installation Steps:

Step 1: Attach the Sensor
Mount the optical sensor on your aquarium or sump wall using the magnetic bracket. Adjust the position so that the desired water level sits between the second and third sensors. Suitable for surfaces up to 1/2 inch thick.

Step 2: Set Up the Refill Pump
Connect the tubing to the output of the refill pump, ensuring there are no kinks or bends. Place the pump into your reservoir, and attach the other end of the tube to the sump or aquarium.

Step 3: Power Up
Plug the pump cord into the sensor's “PUMP” port and connect the power adapter to the “POWER” port. Finally, plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
